28 Student-Athletes Named To CSAC Fall All-Academic Team

Aston, Pa. --  The Colonial States Athletic Conference has presented their All-Academic selections for the 2012 fall season.

Notre Dame of Maryland University features 28 student-athletes receiving recognition to the CSAC Fall All-Academic Team.  The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.

From field hockey, senior Rachel Jones (Westminster, Md.), sophomores, Ashley Fallon (Baltimore, Md.), Katelyn Johnston (Baltimore, Md.) Danielle Neumeister (Baltimore, Md.) and Tessa Schwartz (Baltimore, Md.) and freshmen Khadijah Lake (Boone, Md.) and Taylor Stevens (Baltimore, Md.) received honors.

The soccer team featured 12 student-athletes to the team, seniors Amanda Brenner (Westminster, Md.) Mindy Daugherty (Hampstead, Md.) and Allison Terry (Towson, Md.), junior Melanie Gordon (Pasadena, Md.), sophomores Aloise Diedrich (Baltimore, Md.), Roxanne Diedrich (Baltimore, Md.), Kate Donadio (Reisterstown, Md.), Abby Jacobson (Easton, Md.), Heather Lancellotti (Perry Hall, Md.), Gabby Rehmeyer (Baton Rouge, La.) and Vicki Vasso (Pennsville, N.J.).  Freshman Lauren Santi (Accokeek, Md.) also was named.

Junior Megan Kemp (Easton, Md.), and sophomores Celeste' Holmes-Tate (Baltimore, Md.) and Morgan Wheaton (Cape May, N.J.) were given honors from the tennis team.

Volleyball finished with seniors Shykera Allender (Baltimore, Md.) and Whitney Nixon (Baltimore, Md.), juniors Queenstar Akrong (Frederick, Md.) and Cortney Silvis (Boonsboro, Md.) and sophomores Erica Kochanek (Baltimore, Md.) and Marylu Ortiz (Oceanside, Calif) receiving academic honors.
