ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference announced the CSAC Track & Field All-Conference selection this afternoon. In their inaugural season, the Gators nabbed eight postseason honors.
Freshman
Briana Gibson scored the team's lone First Team All-CSAC recognition in the 400m hurdles. At the CSAC Championships on Saturday, Gibson finished first in the 400m hurdles in 1:14.02. She effectively set a personal and Notre Dame record in her final race of the season. She has the top four records for the Gators in the 400m hurdles, improving week-after-week. She earned her first CSAC weekly recognition of her career, being named to the Honor Roll.
Sophomore
Taylor Epps earned Second Team All-CSAC recognition in the 100m, an event that she was dominate in all season for the Gators. In the CSAC Championship, she finished second overall in a time of 12.96. She set a school and personal record in back-to-back runs, finishing in the prelims in 13.03. She has the top seven finishes this season for the Gators in the 100m.
Five received Honorable Mention All-CSAC recognitions. Epps earned two post season honors, being named to the Honorable Mention team in the 200m. She finished third overall in 28.06. She first in her heat of the 200m preliminaries in 27.38. She also has the top seven records for the Gators in the 200m. She received one CSAC Runner of the Week and Weekly Honor Roll recognition.
Junior
Adamary Sanchez- Martinez also nabbed her first career CSAC honors, being named to the Honorable Mention team in the 400m hurdles. She finished third overall in 1:16.81, crushing her personal record set in March.
Senior
Justice Walrath, in the team's lone field event competitor, earned Honorable Mention recognition in the shot put. She threw a 9.40m in her first attempt, setting a personal and school record. Walrath also blew her preview personal record away, previously throwing a 8.62m at the Blue Jay Tune Up.
The Notre Dame 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams also earned Honorable Mention honors. Both teams finished third overall at the CSAC Championship. The 4x1 finished in 56.03 and the 4x4 finished in 4:44.69, finishing nearly six seconds faster than their seed time.
Freshman
Oumou Sall was the Gators CSAC All-Sportsmanship recipient. At the CSAC Championship, she raced in both the 400m and the 400m hurdles.
