NOTRE DAME OF MARYLAND UNIVERSITY
ATHLETIC FACILITIES
Alumnae Field – created in 1997, Alumnae field is home
to the Notre Dame field hockey, lacrosse and soccer teams.
The only remaining competition grass field in Maryland,
Alumnae Field hosted the Costa Rican National Soccer Team
during the summer of 2013 during the squad’s preparation for
the CONCACAF Gold Cup Quarterfinals.
Civera Fitness Center –

Officially opened in May 2014 and
named after Board of Trustees Member Ed Civera,
the Civera Fitness Center features brand new equipment,
including treadmills, ellipical machines, exercise bikes, spin bikes,
and new weightlifting areas. The new fitness center is over
three times larger than the previous fitness center.
Marion Burk Knott Sports Complex – Built in 1989,
the MBK Sports Complex is home to the
Civera Fitness Center, Gator Court, two racquetball courts,
the Notre Dame Athletics and Campus Recreation offices
as well as offices for the Division of Student Life. The new
Gators Team room is also housed in the MBK Sports Complex.
Gator Court – Gator Court is home to Gators basketball and volleyball.

Built in 1989, the floor hosted several AWCC Championships while also serving
as the site for the Maryland State AAU Championships.
Resurfaced and painted in 2013, the court has a new and cleaner look
with an updated color scheme on the floor.
Notre Dame Tennis Courts – Resurfaced in May 2014,
the courts are home to the Notre Dame tennis team.
The four courts also host matches for Loyola University
at times and are the site of the David Mast Tennis Camp.
Softball Infield – created in March 2014, the softball infield was constructed to

allow the softball team a practice facility on campus.
Currently, the team plays their home games at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, Md.,
located down the street from the Baltimore Zoo.
Practice Field – The original game field for Notre Dame field hockey,
lacrosse and soccer, the practice field serves as a place for the
field teams to practice while allowing Alumnae Field to see less action,
keeping the game field in prime game condition.
LeClerc Pool –

Orginally built in 1924, LeClerc Pool is the home pool for the
Notre Dame club.
LeClerc Pool has also been featured in Hollywood movies,
the most famous being
Clara’s Heart, featuring
Whoopi Goldberg and a young Neil Patrick Harris.
