Notre Dame of Maryland University  Fitness Center Guidelines

**For the safety of our Patrons, The Civera Fitness Center utilizes 24-hour video-camera monitoring**
Individuals not adhering to these policies may be asked to leave the fitness center. The NDMU Athletics Department reserves the right to revoke access to those who are in violation of these rules
Hours of Operation: 5am – 11pm

  1. Under no circumstance will an individual without a valid NDMU ID be permitted to access to the Fitness Center or use the equipment inside. Children,  guests, etc., are not permitted to use the facility in any capacity.  
  2. All individuals use equipment at their own risk. All individuals should be aware of their fitness limits. Please use proper caution and exercise at your own level and pace.  
  3. The Fitness Center schedule (also located on NDMU Athletics website) takes priority over general hours of operation. Fitness center hours are limited to times where it has not been reserved by a group with Athletics Department approval. 
  4. If an Athletics team or other group has reserved the fitness center for a given period of time, public access will be denied by any individual not associated with that team or group. 
  5. For hygiene and safety, proper attire is required at all time: Wearing shirts/tank tops, dry athletic wear, dry closed-toe athletic sneakers is required.
  6. Only small, fitness-necessary items are permitted in the fitness center.
  7. Please do not remove any items or equipment from the fitness center.
  8. In the case of any missing/broken equipment, please report issue to fitness center attendant. If one is not present, please send an email to ktotaro@ndm.edu stating specifically which item(s) are missing/broken. 
  9. Please return weight/equipment to their proper locations. Any plate(s) added to any equipment must be removed following the completion of the exercise for consideration of others.
  10. Please sanitize all equipment upon completion of the exercise. Wipes must be disposed of in the appropriate trash cans. Please do not leave any disposable items on the floor or on any other surface. 
  11. Please do not adjust the TVs or sound system or their volume at any point. 
  12. For any emergency, please report to the Fitness Center Monitor, or call 9-1-1. If one is not nearby, please contact Public Safety at (410) 532 - 6666. There are two AED’s located in MBK, one downstairs by the Athletics Team room, and one by the Pool.
