Frederick, Md. - September 30, 2011 - The Notre Dame of Maryland University tennis team fell 8-1 to Hood College in non-conference action at Frederick High School. The loss moves the Gators to 2-6-1 on the season.

Freshman Anna Schmedding (Silver Spring/Paint Branch) earned the win at #3 singles by scores of 6-2, 6-3.

Notre Dame next hosts Baptist Bible College in CSAC action at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1.
