La Plume, Pa. - September 10, 2011 - The Notre Dame of Maryland University tennis team played to a 3-3 draw with Keystone College this afternoon.

The Gators move to 1-1-1 on the year, while the Giants fall to 0-1-1.

Junior Amanda Fansler (Trappe, Md. / Easton) and freshman Anna Schmedding (Silver Spring, Md. / Paint Branch) won at #1 and #2 singles, respectively, and then teamed to earn an 8-5 win at #1 doubles. Keystone earned points with wins at #3 and #4 singles and #2 doubles. With both squads not represented by full rosters, #3 doubles was not played; an illness to a Keystone player following doubles resulted with the completion of only four singles matches.

Notre Dame will continue CSAC play when they host Neumann University on Friday, September 16 at 3:30 p.m.
