Baltimore, Md. -- Notre Dame of Maryland University claimed their first victory of the season by claiming the No. 1 Doubles spot against Immaculata University, but it wasn't enough as the Gators ultimately fell in Colonial States Athletic Conference tennis action.
The pair of junior Celeste' Holmes-Tate (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill Academy) and freshman Elizabeth Tran (Clarksville, Md.) teamed to take victory at the No. 1 Doubles spot, 8-6.
The Mighty Macs were able to claim the rest of the match to take the overall victory 8-1.
Notre Dame returns to action Saturday as they will travel to CSAC foe Keystone for more conference play.
