Scranton, Pa. --  Notre Dame of Maryland University fell to Colonial States Athletic power Marywood University in the tennis team's season opening match. 

The Gators fell to the host Pacers 9-0. 

Freshman Elizabeth Tran (Clarksville, Md.) debuted in the No. 2 Singles position and fought hard but ultimately fell 4-6, 2-6. 

Notre Dame returns to campus next Friday where they will host CSAC foe Immaculata University.
