Baltimore, Md. -- Rosemont College held a lead after doubles play concluded, but Notre Dame of Maryland University rebounded to take four singles victories to secure a 5-3 victory over the Ravens for Notre Dame's first Colonial States Athletic Conference win of the season.
The No. 1 Doubles team of sophomores
Carrie Naylor (Elkridge, Md./Mount de Sales) and
Liz Tran (Clarksville, Md./Atholton) took a 9-7 victory making the match 2-1 heading into singles play.
In singles action, Tran took home a No. 1 Singles victory with a score of 1-6, 6-2, 10-4. Junior
Zanobia Jones (Denver, N.C./East Lincoln) won at No. 5 Singles, 6-0, 6-1, and freshman
Catherine Bruzdzinski (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Lutheran) captured No. 6 Singles, 4-6, 6-4, 10-4.
With the match at 4-3, sophomore
Kaitlyn Sommer (Charlotte,N.C./Charlotte Catholic) claimed a 4-6, 6-6, 12-10 No. 3 Singles win to secure the Gators a CSAC win in their season finale.
