Frederick, Md.  --  Notre Dame of Maryland University travelled to in-state rival Hood College Tuesday afternoon for the team's first non conference match of the season but fell to the host Blazers 9-0 in the contest.

Sophomore Liz Tran (Clarksville, Md) paced the Gators with four games won in her No. 1 Singles match.  She also teamed up with sophomore Kaitlyn Sommers (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Catholic) in No. 2 Doubles to tie the No. 1 Doubles pair of Carrie Naylor (Elkridge, Md./Mount de Sales) and Natalie Smith (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) in victories. 

Notre Dame will continue their road trip on Friday as they travel to Trinity Washington University.
