BALTIMORE, Md. – The tennis team's 2016 season came to an end today, as the club fell 5-4 to Cabrini in its last regular season match.

The Gators end their 2016 campaign at 7-4 overall and 6-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, improving their conference win total from 2015 by one game.

Following today's match, the team honored its five seniors, Morgan Harter, Carrie Naylor, Kaitlyn Sommer, Natalie Smith and Elizabeth Tran. Over the course of four years, the seniors combined for 19 wins.

The Cavaliers got off to a hot start, winning 2-3 doubles matches. Sommer and Naylor paired to win their No. 2 doubles match 8-5.

In singles play, Sommer, Smith and sophomore Sandy Vo scored wins in singles three, four and five, respectively, before falling in the deciding No. 6 singles match.
