Tennis Welcomes Cabrini to Campus for Senior Day Match

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame of Maryland tennis team is set to welcome Cabrini University to NDMU Tennis Courts today in a senior day match at 1 p.m. 

Today's match against the Cavaliers is a big one, as the Gators sit in playoff position as it stands today. Notre Dame holds the fourth spot in the Colonial States Athletic Conference at 7-3 overall and 6-3 in the CSAC, while Cabrini is in the fifth spot with a 7-6 overall record and is 6-3 in conference play.
 
The Gators have earned wins in their last two games, topping Cedar Crest and Cairn with matching marks of 5-4.
 
Senior Carrie Naylor is 5-3 on the year in her No. 2 singles matches, while classmate Natalie Smith is 6-3 in her No. 3 and 4 singles matches. 

The Cavaliers are coming off an 8-1 win at Rosemont. The Gators also defeated the Ravens 8-1 on September 16.

Senior Elena Conway is ranked fifth in the conference with a 6-7 No. 1 singles record, while junior Stephanie Barkofski holds a 7-6 record in No. 4 singles, good for fourth in the CSAC. 

Following today's match against the Cavaliers, the club will honor seniors Morgan Harter, Carrie Naylor, Elizabeth Tran, Kaitlyn Sommer and Natalie Smith with a special senior day ceremony.
