ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The tennis team continued its strong play today, as the Gators scored a 5-4 win at Cedar Crest, improving the club to 6-3 overall and 5-3 in the CSAC.
After falling in its first two doubles matches, NDMU got back on track as junior Catherine Bruzdzinski and sophomore Sandy Vo paired to earn an 8-5 No. 3 doubles win.
The Falcons started singles play with a No. 1 singles victory but senior Carrie Naylor countered with a 7-6 (7-3), 7-5 win at the No. 2 flight.
Cedar Crest bounced back, winning No. 3 singles, but the Gators took the next two matches to secure its fifth conference win on the year and move the club to the fourth spot in the CSAC.
Bruzdzinski earned a 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 7-5 No. 5 singles win, while senior Morgan Harter followed with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
Notre Dame welcomes Cairn (4-7, 2-5 CSAC) to campus on Friday for a match at 3 p.m. before hosting Cabrini (6-6, 5-3 CSAC) in a senior day matchup on Saturday at 1 p.m.
