BALTIMORE, Md. – The tennis team suffered its first loss of the season today, as the club fell 9-0 to last year's Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) runner-up, Marywood. With the loss, the Gators fall to 2-1 on the year and 1-1 in conference action. 

In doubles play, the Pacers scored 8-1, 8-3 and 8-1 wins in No. 1, 2 and 3 doubles, respectively. 

Senior Elizabeth Tran put up a fight in her No. 1 singles match, before falling 6-2, 6-3. Marywood went on to win the next five singles matches to earn its first CSAC win on the season. 

The road ahead is tough for Notre Dame, as the Gators travel to defending CSAC champion, Gwynedd Mercy (4-0, 4-0 CSAC) on Friday. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
