BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Notre Dame field hockey team was on the road today at Bryn Athyn College for their first meeting of the season.
The Gators gave up three scores to the Lions in the first half, going into the second down, 3-0.
Notre Dame held Bryn Athyn scoreless despite 13 shots by the Lions in the second half.
To open up the second half, freshman
Kelsey Campbell broke up the shutout scoring off a pass from senior
Megan Morales.
In the game, the Gators recorded 12 shots, with nine shots on goal. Freshman
Vanessa Dunn led the team posting six shots on goal.
In goal for the Gators, freshman
Fallon Katz posted 11 saves, while freshman
Katie Hawkins posted one defensive save.
