Tennis Falls in Season Finale

Box Score SCRANTON, Pa. – Notre Dame tennis wrapped their 2018 season today on the road at Keystone College.  In a makeup match from earlier in the season, the Gators fell to the Giants, 9-0.  Notre Dame faced Keystone at Marywood University's Pacer Courts.

Senior Ashley Guy and freshman Ceida Portillo both played in their first, first doubles match of the season.  The took one set of the match, but eventually fell, 8-1.  In second doubles, sophomore Nnenne Odukwu and newcomer Naimani Staley recorded two set victories, but dropped the match, 8-2.  Guy and Staley both took two set in their singles matches, Guy in the number two slot and Staley in the number five slot.

The Gators conclude their season 1-11 overall and 1-9 in CSAC play.  Their lone victory came at the start of the season when they defeated CSAC opponent Neumann University, 6-3. Notre Dame graduates three seniors this season: Cat Bruzdzinski, Sandy Vo, and Ashley.
