BALTIMORE, MD – Notre Dame of Maryland University Athletics has appointed Tyler Jackson as the program's next Head Athletics Trainer effective immediately as announced by Director of Athletics and Wellness,
Dr. Ashley Hodges.
At NDMU, Jackson will continue the evaluation of our student-athletes wellness and rehabilitation of athletic injuries while maintaining medical records and injury notes. A familiar face to the Colonial States Athletic Conference, Jackson formerly served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Rosemont College. He spent over four seasons at Rosemont overseeing 15 varsity sports.
Jackson has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 2014 and got his start as a collegiate athletic trainer in 2015 while at Pennsylvania State University. After two seasons as an Athletic Training Student, Jackson spent a season at Wilson High School (Pa.) before moving on to Kinetic Physical Therapy. While at Rosemont, Jackson shoulder additional responsibilities at Kinetic Physical Therapy. He worked his way from Physical Therapist Aide to Head Athletic Trainer, gaining invaluable experience working alongside physicians, athletic trainers, and coaches to design helpful programs to treat and prevent injuries for his student-athletes.
A graduate from Penn State University, Jackson holds his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and earned his Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice at East Stroudsburg University in 2018.
