BALTIMORE- The Notre Dame of Maryland Cross Country Teams opened their 2024 season by taking part in the Baltimore Metro Meet hosted by Goucher College on Friday, Aug. 30.
The first race of the night was the historic first-ever event for the NDMU Men's Cross Country Team. The first Gator to cross the finish line was Austin Barnes, who finished the 5K race in 22:18.71, which was good enough for 65th place.
The NDMU Women's Cross Country Team made a little history themselves. Amanda Grant set a new program 5K record, finishing her first collegiate race in 23:58.97.
