Bard first found her love for running halfway through her high school career. She found love for long distance funning and became dedicated to training for the sport. While attending a Division I school, she continued her cross country training on an individual basis, competing in local racing. After suffering major health problems, her running career was delayed. She eventually transferred to a community college where she went on to purse an EMT certification and science degree. It was at this time where she connected with Notre Dame.
Bard is excited to work with the Notre Dame student-athletes. In her road to recovery, she found a calling to help others in their running journey. Bard works in child care during the week and at a church on Sundays.
