Josh Danza joined the Notre Dame of Maryland University men's soccer coaching staff in the fall 2025 season as an assistant coach.

In February of 2023, Coach Danza was appointed as the Men's Head Coach of the USA Futsal National Team (AMF). In the 2023 AMF Futsal World Cup in Tecate, Mexico, Coach Danza led Team USA to their best-ever performance since the tournament's inception in 1982. USA defeated Australia, Venezuela, Brazil, and France, but fell to the eventual finalists, Uruguay, in the Quarterfinals. 

For nine seasons, Danza coached at Annapolis Area Christian School with the MIAA Varsity boys (2016-2021) and IAAM Varsity girls (2022-2024) soccer teams. Danza also served as the girls Varsity softball head coach for seven years (2017-2023). 

Danza is a player-coach of the Baltimore Kings (League 1 Futsal/MASL3) and Salisbury Steaks (MASL2). Throughout his professional career, Danza has played outdoor, indoor, and futsal for teams across the country including Atlanta Silverbacks, Ohio Vortex, Tulsa Revolution, Baltimore Blast, Santurce FC (Puerto Rico), San Juan FC (Puerto Rico), Detroit Waza, Brew City Legends, Philadelphia Fury, Real Maryland FC, and Bay Area Futsal Club. 

Danza was called up to the Puerto Rico Men's National Soccer Team in 2012 and 2015 ahead of FIFA World Cup Qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. For futsal, Danza represented the USA Men's National Team in the 2024 FIFUSA Men's World Championship in Bucaramanga, Colombia. In May of 2025, Danza represented Team USA in the AMF Club Futsal World Cup in Ibague, Colombia. 

Danza played at NCAA D1 Towson University under Coach Frank Olszewski in 2012 in the program's last year of existence. There he was named a team captain and was nominated for CAA Senior Student-Athlete of the Year while carrying a 4.0 GPA. Previously, Danza played three years at NCAA D3 at Stevenson University. Danza was named to the NSCAA All-Academic Regional Team in 2010, graduating with a 3.9 GPA. In his junior year, Danza helped lead the team to win the ECAC Regional Championship. 

Danza and his wife reside in Glen Burnie, MD with their three kids.
