CLARKS SUMMIT, PA - College of Notre Dame dropped both ends of a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) tri-match Saturday afternoon, hosted by Baptist Bible College. The Gators fell to Marywood, 3-1 (16-25, 25-23, 8-25, 22-25) before dropping a three set match to Baptist Bible (14-25, 12-25, 13-25). Notre Dame is still seeking its first CSAC win of the year, falling to 3-12 overall and 0-6 in conference play on the year with the losses.
Junior Catherine Subrizi (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) paced the Gators against Marywood, accumulating 15 kills and 16 digs. Junior teammate Ebony Rivers (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville) returned from an injury suffered last week with 14 digs while junior India Scott (Baltimore/Baltimore Poly) added six kills.
Baptist Bible had a collective .372 hitting percentage en route to the sweep of the Gators in the night cap. Subrizi led all Gators with eight kills in the match while teammate Katie Murphy (Baltimore/Baltimore Poly) had 16 assists.
Notre Dame will return to action at home Tuesday evening with a 7 p.m. match against non-conference opponent Penn State-Harrisburg.
