BALTIMORE, MD - Penn State-Harrisburg registered 18 service aces en route to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-13) volleyball victory over College of Notre Dame Tuesday evening at the MBK Complex. The Lions improved to 12-8 overall while the Gators fell to 3-13 with the loss.
The Lions capitalized on the Gators errors from the get go. On top of its 18 reception errors, Notre Dame had 19 attack errors and six service errors to help Penn State-Harrisburg's effort. Elise Williams led the Lions with six kills on the evening while Amanda Wade tallied 18 assists and tied a match-high with eight service aces along with eight digs.
Junior outside hitter Catherine Subrizi (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) recorded a match-high 16 kills while teammate Ebony Rivers (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville) had 13 digs. Junior setter Christina Kudrna (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) dished out 24 assists and had ten digs in the losing effort.
Notre Dame will look to snap its seven match losing streak on Thursday when they host non-conference opponent Arcadia at 7 p.m.
