TOWSON, MD - Host Goucher earned its sixth consecutive victory over College of Notre Dame Wednesday evening in non-conference volleyball action, topping the Gators 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-15). Notre Dame last defeated the Gophers on September 28, 2006.

The Gators were led by junior Catherine Subrizi's (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) 11 kills. No other Notre Dame player was able to record anymore than three kills, as Goucher's defense tallied 45 digs in the three-set match. Junior setter Christina Kudrna (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) added 14 assists in the losing effort.

Goucher's Megan Smith led all players with 16 kills while Rebecca Schaefer had 12 digs for the Gophers (8-7 overall) in the win.

Notre Dame (3-9 overall) will look to earn its first Colonial States Athletic Conference victory of the season on Thursday when they host Philadelphia Biblical at 7 p.m.
