Gators Breeze Past Christendom

Baltimore, MD – College of Notre Dame Volleyball breezes past non-conference opponent Christendom College 3-0.

The Gators controlled the opening set from the outset, extending their advantage to as many as eleven at one point. College of Notre Dame won the first set 25-16. Cory Santos (Carlsbad, CA/Carlsbad) hit three aces to start the second set, giving the Gators an early lead. The Crusaders rallied to within two points, 13-11, but College of Notre Dame’s attack again extended the lead and took the set 25-13. College of Notre Dame’s nearly perfect attacking game effortlessly took the third set from Christendom, 25-13.

Outside Hitter Margie Maresca (Prince Frederick, MD/Huntington) led all players with 14 kills. Santos assisted 31 of the Gators 37 kills. Seniors Catherine Subrizi (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) and Christina Kudrna (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) finished with 14 and 10 digs respectively.

The Gators face Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Keystone College on Friday evening at 7p.m.
