Baltimore, MD – Goucher College upset College of Notre Dame Women’s Volleyball, 3-0, on Tuesday evening.
Goucher College picked up the opening set, 25-18, in what turned out to be an exciting night of volleyball. The second set would find College of Notre Dame and Goucher tied at twenty. The teams traded several points before the Gophers pulled out the win, 25-23. The Gators would not go quietly, forcing the third set into extra points. Again College of Notre Dame would come up two points short, falling to Goucher 28-26.
Senior Catherine Subrizi (Bel Air, John Carroll) recorded 16 kills and 14 digs, while outside hitter Margie Maresca (Prince Frederick, MD/Huntington) picked up 13 kills and 13 digs on the evening. Cory Santos (Carlsbad, CA/Carlsbad) registered 26 assists and 7 digs.
College of Notre Dame Volleyball returns to the court Thursday, September 30th when they host Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Neumann University at 7p.m.
