Baltimore, Md. - October 18, 2011 - The Notre Dame of Maryland University volleyball team dropped a 3-2 decision to visiting Penn State Harrisburg by set scores of 26-24, 19-25, 25-22, 21-25, 9-15.

Marylu Ortiz (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino) had 6 kills in the first set, with Queenstar Akrong (Frederick/St. John's) chipping in three kills in the second set.  Lani Caldwell (Elkton/Rising Sun) had 5 kills in the third game, before the Nittany Lions picked up wins in the fourth and fifth sets. The loss moves to the Gators to 3-16 overall.
 
Notre Dame continues non-conference action when Johns Hopkins University visits MBK Complex Thursday, October 20. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
