Box Score Baltimore, Md. --  Notre Dame of Maryland University faced cross-town rival Goucher College in a nonconference volleyball matchup and fell to the Gophers 3-0.  

The Gators jumped out early, taking an early 15-10 lead in the first set, but were unable to hold the lead as the hosts ended up taking the first set 25-21, then quickly took the next two sets to garner the 3-0 victory. 

Junior Marylu Ortiz (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino) led the squad in kills and digs, posting 10 kills and a season-high 14 digs.  Freshman Cleaya Antes (Carson, Calif./California Academy of Math and Science) added 13 digs.  

Notre Dame currently is ranked 11th in the country in aces, scoring nearly 3 aces per set.  

The Gators will return to action by travelling to McDaniel College Wednesday night for a rematch of a 3-2 Notre Dame victory earlier in the season.
