Volleyball Splits Tri-Match; Defeats Bryn Mawr

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Baltimore, Md.  --  The volleyball team for Notre Dame of Maryland University defeated Bryn Mawr College 3-1 but would fall to Hood College as the Gators took part in a Tri-Match at Hood. 

In their first match of the day, Notre Dame won the first set 25-21 but would drop the second set, 25-14 before winning the next two sets 25-20 and 25-17.  

Against Hood, the Blazers would best the Gators 25-15, 27-25 and 25-12.  

For the day, sophomore Ashley Pasker (Newark, N.J./University) finished with 28 kills, 17 against Hood, while sophomores Grace Park (Clarksville, Md./Atholton), 14 kills, and Bobbi McDowell (Bishop McNamara), 13 kills, would aid the offense.  

Sophomore Jaime Reyes (Yorba Linda, Calif.) posted 51 assists on the day.  Junior Cleaya Antes (Carson, Calif./California Academy of Math and Science) paced the team with five aces.  

Antes also led the team defensively, notching 40 digs for the Gators.  Park chipped in with 18 digs while sophomore Stephanie Roche (Perry Hall, Md.) added 14, including 10 against Bryn Mawr.  Reyes and Pasker contributed 13 each.  Freshman Peyton Smith (Valley Lee, Md./Great Mills) finished with 12 digs on the day.  

The Gators will now look to regroup as they visit crosstown rival Goucher College on Wednesday.
