Box Score Phoenixville, Pa.  --  Notre Dame of Maryland University defeated the University of Valley Forge in nonconference volleyball action on Thursday night.  

The Gators won the match by forfeit as they Patriots were forced to forfeit the game due to an injury in the second set that put the hosts down to just five players.  

Notre Dame won the first set 25-14 and was winning 13-8 in the second set when the match was ended.  Sophomore Ashley Pasker (Newark, N.J./University) and Bobbi McDowell (Shady Side, Md./Bishop McNamara) led the offense with five kills each.  Sophomore Jamie Reyes (Yorba Linda, Calif.) finished with 11 assists.  

Defensively, junior Cleaya Antes (Carson, Calif./California Academy of Math and Science) posted a team-high 12 digs.  

The Gators will return to action on Saturday as they visit local rival Trinity Washington University.
