Box Score Washington D.C. -- Notre Dame of Maryland University's volleyball team swept Trinity Washington University 3-0 for the team's fourth win of the year, and their second straight win.
The Gators won the match 25-11, 25-12 and 25-8.
Sophomore
Ashley Pasker (Newark,N.J./University) paced the offense with 18 kills, while sophomore
Jamie Reyes (Yorba Linda, Calif.) led the team with 27 assists.
Four Gators tied for the team lead with three service aces, as Park, Reyes, freshman
Peyton Smith (Valley Lee Md./Great Mills) and junior
Cleaya Antes (Carson, Calif./California Academy of Math and Science) all achieved the mark.
Defensively, Antes notched 12 digs while Park chipped in with 10.
Notre Dame jumped out to an early lead in the first set, taking an 11-2 lead before cruising to the 25-11 first set victory. In the second set, Trinity Washington rebounded and managed to keep it close to a 10-10 tie, but the Gators would rally and only allow the Tigers two more points to win 25-12. The final set would see Notre Dame jump out early again, making several runs of atleast four points on their way to winning the match with a 25-8 victory in the third set.
With the win, the team improves to 4-4 on the year and will return to action Saturday as the squad will host Centenary College for their first Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup of the year.
