Volleyball Wins Fourth Straight

Box Score Baltimore, Md.  --  Notre Dame of Maryland University overwhelmed Washington Adventist University in volleyball action as the Gators swept the Shock 3-0, winning the match with scores of 25-2, 25-6, 25-11. 

Four players led the offense, as junior Cassidy Keller (Sparks, Md./Perry Hall), and sophomores Bobbi McDowell (Shady Side, Md./Bishop McNamara), Grace Park (Clarksville, Md./Atholton) and Ashley Pasker (Newark, N.J./University) each finished with four aces.  

Sophomore Stephanie Roche (Perry Hall, Md.) finished with a career-high 14 assists.  Junior Cleaya Antes (Carson, Calif./California Academy of Math and Science) paced the team with seven aces in the first set, serving 17 straight points for the Gators.  Roche and sophomore Brooke Bowman (Garden City, Mich.) each added four aces, as the team finished with 24 total aces.  

Defensively, freshman Peyton Smith (Valley Lee, Md./Great Mills) notched a team-best nine digs as junior Margaret Pedersen (Brick, N.J.) chipped in with six.  Bowman and Park also contributed five digs each.  Bowman would also post a solo block for the Gators.  

With the win, Notre Dame improves to 6-4 on the year and will return to action Wednesday night by returning to Colonial States Athletic Conference play by hosting league-rival Cairn University.
