Volleyball Tops Valley Forge in Straight Sets

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – The Notre Dame of Maryland volleyball team earned its second straight set win over the University of Valley Forge tonight. The Gators scored 25-17, 25-22 and 25-15 set victories to improve to 11-5 on the season. 

Freshman Kayleigh Davis earned her 109th kill on the year after notching a game high eight kills in tonight's win over the Patriots. The rookie also added a pair of blocks, along with juniors Bobbi McDowell and Ashley Guy. 

Junior Jamie Reyes finished with 22 assists and two service aces. Freshman Mary Marquez had another impressive showing today, as the rookie recorded a team high 14 digs to go along with six kills and two helpers. Juniors Grace Park and Ricelle Taganas combined for 22 digs, 11 apiece. 

The club visits Kean University Saturday for a tri-match against the Cougars and United States Merchant Marine Academy. NDMU and Kean will kick off the day's action at 11 a.m.
