Box Score RADNOR, Pa. – The Notre Dame of Maryland University volleyball team concluded their season at Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Cabrini University in the second round of the playoffs, Thursday. The Gators fell in straight sets to the Cavilers, ending their season with a 17-9 overall and 7-4 in conference play.
Senior
Cassidy Keller and freshman
Kayleigh Davis both recorded a team-high four kills while Davis lead the team with two block solos. Junior
Jamie Reyes paced the offense with 13 assists while adding three kills in the match. On the defensive end, senior
Cleaya Antes registered 19 digs and finishes her career second all-time for Notre Dame in career digs with 1,694.
This season, the Gators saw several highlights. Notre Dame finished fifth overall this season in the CSAC, their highest ranking since joining the conference in 2007. In the playoffs, the Gators secured an upset over Marywood University, securing Notre Dame's second playoff victory and first for the volleyball program. As a team, Notre Dame saw several national rankings. They are currently ranked first in the NCAA for opposing team hitting percentage (.036) and fourth in aces per set (3.42).
In the CSAC, seniors Cleaya Antes and
Stephanie Roche held the first and second rankings in aces per set to close out the regular season. Junior
Bobbi McDowell leads the CSAC in blocks per set and is also ranked eighth for hitting percentage. As announced earlier this week, Antes was named the first CSAC Defensive Player of the Year, pacing the conference with 5.58 digs per set. The Gators will graduate four seniors (Cleaya Antes,
Margaret Pedersen, Cassidy Keller, and Stephanie Roche), but will return five starters next season.
