Gators Fall to Conference Rival

Box Score Clarks Summit, Pa. -- The Notre Dame of Maryland University basketball team traveled to Colonial States Athletic Conference rival, Summit University in a make-up game against the Defenders that was postponed last weekend due to weather.  Despite holding a first quarter lead, Notre Dame could not out match Summit as they fell, 64-79.

For only the second time this season, four Gators recorded double-figures in scoring led by freshman Justine Mudiay (Baltimore, Md. / Cristo Rey Jesuit) with 14.  Mudiay went 6-for-8 from the free-throw line and had three assists.  Sophomores Zaria Comer (Leesburg, Va. / Tuscarora) and Ashley Guy (Leonardtown, Md.) both tallied 12 points in the game with Comer leading the Gators in rebounds (8) and blocks (2).  Sophomore Stephanie Roche (Baltimore, Md. / Perry Hall) finished the game with 10 points, scoring a team high, two three-pointers.  As a team, Notre Dame recorded their highest free-throw percentage of the season at 85.7%.

Next the Gators host CSAC opponent Gwynedd Mercy this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.  Notre Dame will be hosting a Faculty and Staff tailgate prior to the event.
