BALTIMORE, Md. – The volleyball team was host to Trinity Washington University and Penn State Schuylkill today. The Gators earned a 3-0 (25-5, 25-10, 25-5) win over Trinity Washington University and closed the day with a 3-0 (25-5, 25-8, 25-9) victory over Penn State Schuylkill in the night cap.

Freshman Ricelle Taganas played a big role in the win over the Tigers. The rookie led the club with 11 service aces to go along with one block and a team high six digs.

Junior Ashley Guy recorded a game high four kills on four attacks. Senior Cleaya Antes earned eight service aces, two digs and a pair of assists in the win over the Tigers.

Following its loss to a hot Notre Dame squad, TWU struggled to get back on its feet, as the club fell to the Lions 3-0 in the day's second contest.

The Lions feelings of victory diminished as they struggled to get going against NDMU. Guy led the team once again in kills, with seven, while junior Bobbie McDowell tallied four kills and a pair of block assists.

Antes earned a game high 11 digs and seven service aces. Freshman Mary Marquez tallied four kills and seven digs, while junior Jamie Reyes led the way with 14 assists.

The volleyball team has little time to rest, as it welcomes Washington Adventist University to campus on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match.
