Volleyball Reaches 20 Win Mark

Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Notre Dame Gators battled CSAC opponent Rosemont on Thursday night for their only home match of the week. The playoff bound Gators, coming off a 3-0 win against Gwynedd Mercy, stayed hot and swept the Ravens.

Notre Dame took the first set 25-11 after being tied through the first four points. Sophomore libero Mary Marquez and freshman Sarah Sweet helped spark the Gators dominance to take the set. The Gators started where they left off with a 12-3 opening to the second set. The Ravens fought, but Notre Dame pulled out for the 25- 10 set win. The Gators started the third set with a new libero, senior Grace Park who took over for Marquez. Notre Dame continued their solid play throughout the set. Senior Zaria Comer and freshman Hannah Amodia helped the Gators to the 25-14 third set victory.

While this was a team victory, Sweet and Sophomore Kayleigh Davis led the way with eight and nine kills respectively. Park led the team with five service aces.  Comer and freshman Michaila Sheedy paced the team in hitting percentage with .667 and .429, respectively.

The Gators will take a day off tomorrow and travel to Cedar Crest on Saturday to take on the Falcons at 12 p.m.
