Weekend Recap

| Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 BALTIMORE, Md. – Notre Dame fall sports had another busy weekend with all four teams on the road Saturday.  Staying local, the cross country team raced at in the Goucher College Invitational, the field hockey and volleyball teams traveled to Marywood University, while soccer traveled to Centenary University.

The cross country team stayed local on Saturday traveled to Goucher College for their annual Goucher Invitational.  In her second career race for the Gators, junior Kelsie Williams posted a first place finish for Notre Dame in 32:15.02. Finishing behind Williams was newcomer Christine Roa, posting a 33:29.34 time.  Sophomore Jeannette Rosales-Blanco placed third for the Gators in for the third time this season.  In the tough 6k course, Notre Dame finished seventh out of seven teams.  The Gators will next travel to Hood College on Saturday for their last meet before the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship.

The field hockey team traveled to CSAC opponent Marywood University Saturday afternoon.  The Gators gave up six goals in the first half, and would eventually fall 10-1.  After a shot by Marywood in the second-half, freshman goalie Calenna Cauley recorded a save that allowed the Gators to advance the ball up the field for the score.  Freshman Kat Malone recorded Notre Dame's goal in the 55th minute of play, assisted by junior Megan Morales.  The Gators faced 50 shots in the game, the most for the team this season.  Cauley posted a career-high 27 saves in the game, her third consecutive game with 15 or more save and third game in her rookie season with 20 or more saves.  Samantha Kastner added two defensive saves in the game.

Notre Dame soccer traveled to CSAC opponent Centenary University where they dropped their conference game, 8-0.  Notre Dame gave up an early goal in the first half to Centenary and could not recover.  The Gators struggled to get their offensive momentum against the Cyclones, as they did not get a shot off in the game.  Goalkeeper Loren Pardoe, posted a career-high 25 saves.  She set her career-high earlier in the week against Cabrini, but her 25 saves performance moves her into fifth in the Notre Dame record books for saves in a game.  NDMU will stay home this week hosting Gwynedd Mercy University on Tuesday and then Marywood University on Saturday.

The volleyball team rebounded from their first conference loss earlier in the week, posting two CSAC wins on the road at Marywood University.  In their first match of their conference trimatch, the Gators defeated the Pacers in straight sets, 25-21, 25-15, 25-20.  Sarah Sweet led the team in kills with 11, followed by Bobbi McDowell and Michaila Sheedy with eight and six, respectively.  The team finished with five blocks, their fifth game this season with five or more.  In their final match of the day, the Gators faced Centenary were they defeated the Cyclones in straight sets. 25-7, 25-12, 25-11.  Kayleigh Davis and Sheedy combined for 13 kills, while Jamie Reyes added to her CSAC leading aces, tallying nine.  The Gators move to 17-3 overall and 5-1 in CSAC play.  They will be on the road this week, first at Christendom on Wednesday, then to Neumann University on Saturday.
