Box Score WASHINGTON, D.C. – Notre Dame volleyball downed the Trinity Washington Univesrity Tigers Saturday afternoon on the road. Backed behind tough serving, the Gators swept the Tigers, 3-0, only giving up a 20 total points in the match.
The Gators recorded 30 aces against Trinity, with three players posted six aces each: freshman
Stephanie Morgan, sophomore
Sarah Sweet, and sophomore
Hannah Amodia.
Junior
Sara Few also posted five aces, followed by junior
Kayleigh Davis and freshman
Emma Jordan with three and junior
Mary Marquez with one.
This is the team's second best serving performance this season. To open the year at home against Trinity, the Gators racked up 36 aces.
Hitting, Notre Dame posted 29 kills, led by Davis with eight on 10 attempts. Freshman
Alyssa Kerns had a great day, recording seven kills while sophomore
Michaila Sheedy finished with six.
On defense, Jordan led the team with seven of the team's 21 digs. Morgan and Marquez each finished with four.

The Gators have five matches remaining in the regular season. Next week, they will first host Shenandoah University on Wednesday before hosting a trimatch on Saturday where they will face Cedar Crest and Christendom.
