LANGHORNE, Pa.

The Gators traveled to Cairn University to face the Highlanders on Thursday afternoon for their second Colonial States Athletics Conference match. 

The Highlanders got things going early with a goal in the 8th minute. 

Despite several scoring chances by Freshman Julie Hagis and Senior Meghan Conner, the Notre Dame offense only had two first half shots. 

Cairn added two goals in the 20th and 26th minutes finishing out the first half scoring. 

Early in the second half Cairn had scoring chances on five consecutive corner kicks but stellar defense by Junior Loren Pardoe and Freshman goalkeeper Trinity Pfeiffer left the Highlanders out of the back of the net. 

The match stayed even through the opening of the second half with stymie defense by Notre Dame Junior Hannah Woodworth. 

Cairn tallied another goal in the 75th and that ended the scoring for the day.

The Gators will host CSAC foe Bryan Athyn on Saturday at 4 pm and will celebrate their two Seniors Lilly Gordon and Meghan Conner.
