BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame basketball team faced cross-town rival, Goucher College on Tuesday night in their first game of the week.
The Gators gave up an 8-0 run to open the game, before freshman
Daija Fitchett notched the first points for Notre Dame. NDMU gave up several runs to the Gophers and could not recover as they eventually fell, 71-42.
Freshman
Vanessa Dunn led the Gators in scoring for the second time this season, posting 14 points. She tallied four three-pointers and one field goal. She was 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and is currently in fourth in the Colonial States Athletic Conference for three-point field goal percentage at 42.9%.
Sophomore
Adrianna Fletcher was just behind Dunn, posting 13 points. She recorded three three-pointers, a field goal, and two free-throws.
On the boards, the Gators posted 33 rebounds, led by Fletcher with six. Fitchett, sophomore
Jaya Green, and sophomore
Keyeria Dawson each tallied four rebounds.
From the free-throw line, the Gators went a perfect 5-for-5, with freshman
Stephania Long recording a pair and freshman
Camille Becker with one.
Seven different players notched steals against the Gophers, with Fitchett and freshman
Jasimine Gardner leading with two apiece.
Senior
Justine Mudiay led the Gators with five assists, while the team finished with nine. She is currently ranked sixth in the CSAC with assists per game with three.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators will have a short break for Thanksgiving before returning to action on Saturday and Sunday. They will travel to Penn State Harrisburg for a two-day tournament. On Saturday, the will face hosting PSU with their Sunday game being determined by the outcome against the Nittany Lions.
