ROSEMONT, Pa. — The Notre Dame basketball team opened their Colonial States Athletic Conference schedule on Wednesday evening at Rosemont College. The Gators started off slow against the Ravens, giving up a 10 point lead to open the half. NDMU fell in the CSAC opener, 83-45.
The Gators had three players record nine points each against Rosemont. Sophomore Jaya Green went 4-for-7 from the floor, posting eight points from around the basket and one from the free throw line.
Senior Justine Mudiay and freshman Vanessa Dunn both tallied nine points in the game, with one three-pointer apiece.
Posting two three-pointers, sophomore Adrianna Fletcher finished the game with eight points, six from beyond the arc and one from the floor.
On the boards, freshman Daija Fitchett led the team with six rebounds, four offensive and two on the defensive end.
Sophomore Keyeria Dawson had an impressive defensive night, recording five of the team's nine steals, while also finishing the game with five points. She went 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators continue their conference schedule on Saturday as they host Cedar Crest College. In their first home game of the season, they face the 2-5 Falcons. This evening, the Falcons picked up their first CSAC win over Bryn Athyn College.
