Box Score PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – Notre Dame of Maryland basketball traveled to non-conference opponent, University of Valley Forge Thursday night. Despite holding a first half lead, the Patriots went on a late fourth quarter surge to take the lead eventually handing the Gators a 60-49 loss.
Senior
Zaria Comer led the team in scoring and rebounds, posting 10 points and nine rebounds. She also tallied two blocks adding to her Notre Dame single-season block record. She now has 53 with one game remaining in the season.
Juniors
Justice Walrath and
Justine Mudiay post finished with nine points, both scoring all their points from three-point range. Walrath also led the team in assists, one shy of her season high. Mudiay reeled in seven rebounds for Notre Dame and also posted two block. She is second in blocks this season with 16.
From the free-throw line, senior
Dania Taylor went a perfect, 4-for-4, while finishing the game with seven points and eight rebounds. She also recorded three assists, while the team finished with 13.
The Gators have 18 games this season where they have recorded 10 or more assists. They are sixth in the Colonial States Athletic Conference for assists per game with 13.17.
Notre Dame will wrap the 2017-18 season on the road at CSAC opponent, Keystone College tomorrow. The game is set for a 1:00 p.m. start time.
