WASHINGTON, D.C. – Notre Dame volleyball traveled to Gallaudet University Thursday night in their makeup match that was originally scheduled for Tuesday this week. The Gators battled with the Bison throughout the match, but despite taking the second set, fell in four, 3-1.
Sophomore
Sarah Sweet paced the Gators, posting 13 kills followed by freshman
Alyssa Kerns and junior
Kayleigh Davis with four apiece.
As a team, the Gators recorded seven aces from six different players. Senior
Ricelle Taganas led with two.
In a defensive battle, Notre Dame went dig for dig and attack for attack against Gallaudet with both teams posting 70 digs and 139 attacks.

Mary Marquez and Sweet posted double-digit digs, Marquez with 19 and Sweet with 16.

The Gators have one day off before opening their Colonial States Athletic Conference schedule Saturday. They will travel to Centenary University for a trimatch where they will also face Mount St. Mary's of New York.
