ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Notre Dame field hockey opened their 2018 Colonial States Athletic Conference schedule Saturday afternoon as they traveled to Cedar Crest College. The Gators were unable to post a goal against the Falcons falling, 3-0.
Notre Dame registered 15 shots against the Falcons, their second game this season with double-figure shots. Although the Gators had several looks on goal, they were unable to score their first goals of the season.
Five different players posted shots, led by freshman
Vanessa Dunn with six. Senior
Megan Morales tallied four, while sophomore
Keyeria Dawson, freshman
Kelsey Campbell and
Katie Hawkins each posted one apiece.
NDMU was first to get a shot off in the game in just the first three minutes of play and three in the first seven. They gave up an early first half goal and gave up two back-to-back in the second half.

Fallon Katz tallied six saves.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators have a short break before returning to action on Wednesday. Due to game postponements early in the season, Wednesday's game against CSAC opponent, Wilson College, is the team's home opener.
