ASTON, Pa. – Notre Dame soccer, coming off a thrilling double-overtime victory over Gallaudet during the week, traveled to former Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Neumann University for non-conference action. The Gators got off to a slow start, giving up four goals in the first-half, eventually falling to the Knights, 5-0.
The Gators posted six shots against the Knights, three on goal.
Senior
Meghan Conner led the team with three shots.
Sophomore
Madison Stoner and freshmen
Julie Hagis and
Kayla Grube posted one shot apiece.
Grube posted the first shot of the game for the Gators in the 11
th minute mark, but the Neumann goalkeeper came up with the save.
Notre Dame split goalkeepers against Neuamnn.
Freshman
Trinity Pfeiffer started in goal for the Gators posting eight saves.
In the second half, freshman
Amethyst Stevens started for NDMU and tallied five.
The Notre Dame goalies are top ranked in the CSAC in save percentage with Stevens in first at .857 and Pfeiffer in second at .800.
Conner is second in the CSAC in shots per game with 7.67 through their first three games.
