BALTIMORE, Md. – NDMU soccer tallied their third consecutive win and four in the Colonial States Athletic Conference on the windy Thursday evening. In the make-up game against the Keystone College Giants, the Gators came out on top in overtime, 2-1.
Senior
Colette Pierce scored the first goal of the game for the Gators. In the 36
th minute, Pierce scored her ninth goal of the season beating the goalie to the ball from a cross from junior
Adrianna Fletcher.
In less than three minutes later, Keystone posted the equalizer off a long ball from just inside half field. The perfect ball sailed just over goalie
Myla Young's head for the score.
The Gators and Giants went into overtime tied at one apiece.
In the second half, Notre Dame and Keystone had several solid looks at the goal. NDMU outshot KC in the second half 13-6. Young kept Keystone out of the goal, making three saves.
With time running down in regulation, freshman
Sara Morales tallied one last shot that was saved by Keystone.
In overtime, the Gators wasted no time. In less than 30 seconds into OT, Pierce notched the game-winning-goal beating the KC goalie on a fast break.
Pierce led the team with four shots on goal, while Morales and Fletcher both notched two. Pierce now has 10 goals for the season, four of which have been game-winning-goals.
In goal for the Gators, Young posted five saves.
With their win today, the Gators have now tied their CSAC wins record since joining the CSAC in 2007. The last time NDMU posted four wins in conference was the 2011 season.

Notre Dame is on the road on Saturday at Cedar Crest College who is currently 5-0 in the CSAC.
