CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Notre Dame field hockey was on the road today in their first of two road Colonial States Athletic Conference games of the week. Facing the Wilson College Phoenix, the Gators dropped their first CSAC game of the season, 1-4.
In a mostly defensive game of the Gators, Wilson posted the most shots on goal in conference so far this season. Senior
Fallon Katz had her second best performance in goal for NDMU this season, posting 12 saves against the Phoenix.
In the fourth quarter, sophomore
Maia Giafes scored the Gators' lone goal off a rebound. She now has four this season.
Sophomores
Katie Hawkins and
Vanessa Dunn led the team with two shots each, while the team finished with six.
WHAT'S NEXT?
On Saturday, the Gators travel to Centenary University for more CSAC action.
