ROSEMONT, Pa. – In the first week of Colonial States Athletic Conference spring weekly honors, the Notre Dame Gators had three student-athletes earn weekly Honor Roll recognition. This is the fifth week in the 2018-19 season that three or more student-athletes were honored in the same week.
Senior
Megan Morales earned her fifth career weekly recognition from the CSAC this week being named to the CSAC Honor Roll. Over her two eligible games for the honor, Morales notched 11 goals and one assist. The Gators lost both their eligible contest for this honor, but Morales still sits a top of the CSAC in goals per game at 5.50. Her teammate, senior Kirsten McGee is right behind her averaging 4.50 goals per game.
Also earning their first honors of the season was senior
Samantha Kastner and sophomore
Jodie Bronushas from NDMU softball.
Kastner notched her first CSAC Weekly recognition of her career after the Gators' 1-1 start to the season this past weekend. Kastner had a strong outing for Notre Dame against the Bison. At the plate, she recorded five hits, seven RBIs, and scored four runs. She notched four doubles in her eight at-bats. Catching, she recorded 12 putouts, three assists including two caught stealing.
In her first career starts, Bronushas was also named to the CSAC Honor Roll. Pitching for the Gators, Bronushas finished the weekend with a 1.58 ERA. She had 12 strikeouts and help lead the team to a 1-1 start. From the plate, Bronushas notched four hits and four RBIs. She also had a stand-up triple in their first game of their doubleheader.
NDMU lacrosse will face two non-conference opponents at home this week. On Wednesday, they host Chatham University and on Saturday will host Lancaster Bible College. Softball gets their home schedule started on Friday hosting University of Valley Forge at CCBC Dundalk.
