LA PLUME, Pa. – Notre Dame softball traveled to Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent, Keystone College Saturday afternoon. 

GAME 1
Batting first, the Gators got on the board in the first inning.  Leading off freshman, Maci Lopez reach first on an error by the shortstop.  Following Lopez, junior Naudiya Hopkins singled up the middle to put Lopez in scoring position. 

Junior Isa Carunungan grounded out to the pitcher to move Lopez to third base and Hopkins to second.  With sophomore Jodie Bronushas up to the plate, she reached on an error by the third baseman allowing Lopez to score.

In the bottom of the first, Keystone put up 10 runs, taking a 10-1 lead over the Gators. 

In the top of the fifth innings, the Gators scored another off a double by Carunungan.  She scored Hopkins from third base on the long double.

Carunungan, Bronushas, and sophomore Rena Dyson led the team with three hits apiece, while Carunungan scored the team's lone RBI.

Pitching for the Gators, Carunungan notched five strikeouts.

GAME 2
After a scoreless first inning, senior Samantha Kastner led off in the top of the second.  Kastner hit her ninth double of the season.  With one out down, Dyson stepped to the plate to hit a single to left field to put Kastner on third.  Both Kastner and Dyson advanced on a wild pitch to tie the score up at one apiece after two innings.

In the top of the fourth the Gators took the lead when Dyson scored Bronushas from third.  Bronushas hit a double leading off the fourth and advanced to third on a wild pitch.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Giants took back the lead scoring two more runs.

The Gators got two runners on base in the seventh innings, but couldn't get them home.  They fell in game two, 2-3.

Carunungan, Kastner, and Dyson each recorded two hits against the Giants, while Dyson scored a RBI.  Kastner and Bronushas each tallied a double in the game. 

Pitching for NDMU, Bronushas tallied four strikeouts.

WHAT'S NEXT?
