HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Notre Dame softball team was in Colonial States Athletic Conference action today, facing Centenary University. In their second doubleheader of four this week, the Gators fell to the Cyclones, 1-9 and 0-14.
GAME 1
Notre Dame got on the board in the first innings as freshman
Maci Lopez scored as the lead off.
Lopez reached on a single through the right side. Batting third, junior
Isa Carunungan move Lopez to scoring position on a single up the middle.

Samantha Kastner scored Lopez from second, singling up the middle.
The Gators struggled to hold off the Cyclones, falling 1-9.

GAME 2
In game two, the Gators posted six hits, but could not string hits together to get on the board.

Amethyst Stevens led the team with two hits apiece, while Lopez and Kastner added one each.
Pitching for NDMU, Carunungan tallied a strikeout.

The Gators have a busy final week of play. They are scheduled to face Rosemont College and Clarks Summit University to close out the season on Friday and Saturday. Notre Dame will honor seniors Sammy Kastner and
Hunter King on Saturday on Senior Day.
